The Marlins Youth Academy at Babcock Park Marlins Nike Jr. RBI season of baseball and softball programming is aimed to teach youth ages (5-12) how to play the game through a 12-week competitive and instructional league. The season consists of four weeks of pre-season and eight weeks of game play and practices. Additionally, the curriculum provides over fifty-five (55) instructional lessons, as well as encouraging positive youth development of social and emotional competencies. This program curriculum focuses on the basic skill development of baseball and softball that includes fielding, hitting, throwing and game situations that are aligned to character development lessons through Jackie Robinson’s nine values: determination, teamwork, integrity, citizenship, justice, commitment, persistence, courage, and excellence. Additionally, the Marlins Spring league will provide athletes will full uniforms (Marlins branded jersey top and hat, a pair of baseball pants and Hialeah branded socks), and qualified and experienced developmental coaching staff.

Program Start Date: Monday, February 2, 2026

Program End Date: Thursday, April 23, 2026

Program Days: Mondays-Thursday (Practice 2 times a week per team depending on weather)

Game Days: Once a week per team, per division. Schedule and opponents to be announced.

Practice Times: Athlete's practice times may vary but will always be 1 hour and 30 minutes long. 

Teams: Athletes will be split randomly into teams AFTER registration closes in January. If you have any requests for practice days, please email playball@marlins.com by January 19th, 2026.

Baseball Age Groups:

Ages 5-6: Tee Ball

Ages 7-9: Coach Pitch

Ages 10-12: Kid Pitch

Softball Age Groups:

Ages 7-12
